What did we do in 2024?
16th December 2024
What did we do in 2024? As we look into the festive season and approach the end of 2024, we thought we’d take a moment to reflect on this year! From releasing our MS1 to climbing Mt Olympus. 2024 has been quite the year for Messagemaker Displays! Let’s look back on the year with us!
This year has been a busy year for Messagemaker Displays as we’ve developed a solution for both new projects and replacement work. Dated failing MS1 units on the motorways are becoming unreliable and frustrating, so we created the ideal solution.
The MS1 is available in portrait Type 211 and landscape Type 212, utilizes full colour, low-powered LED, conforms to traffic regulations, and even better, the installation fixings mean it can take just 15 minutes to swap out each sign.
We also created an intelligent and reliable new range of VMS for urban environments, to communicates real-time messaging, traffic updates, warnings, and directions to all road users easily and quickly.
Our standard range includes 5 models to suit every urban application. Why not read our case studies on our Urban VMS below:
Both the MS1 and Urban VMS were proudly on display at our Highways UK stand, if you missed them why not come and check them out in our demo room in 2025?
Other than creating innovative products, the team are always implementing progressive changes internally.
This year we had a gantry crane installed in our main warehouse. We’ve been future-proofing Messagemaker Displays as we begin to expand into high-speed signage for motorways, making space for the high-volume, larger units!
Here at Messagemaker Displays, we understand the value of giving back, and we enjoy it! This year we have taken part in quarterly volunteering, an internal MacMillian bake-off, and climbed a mountain.
Quarterly Gardening- The Children’s Trust
Lunch and Learn- The Lucy Rayner Foundation
Bake Off- Macmillan
By far our biggest challenge this year was climbing a 9500ft mountain for our charity partner The Children’s Trust. At the end of June Stocksigns and some of our friends climbed Mt Olympus otherwise known as ‘The Home of Gods’ in Greece!
This was a 2-day trek where the team headed to the summit and back down again. Stocksigns and friends stayed overnight at 8,800ft in a mountain hut and took on the summit on day 2.
The final ascent to the summit is was where it got really tricky, we had to use harnesses and helmets to take on the Class III YSD graded ascent to the top.
Every Year the Trust supports thousands of children and their families across the UK, providing rehabilitation as well as a range of specialist care, education, and therapy for children and young people to make the best recovery after a serious illness or accident.
We are so pleased and proud to share with you that our climb up Olympus has raised over £17,000. Thank you all that donating!
