The Children’s Trust has received a new Smiley Activated Message (SAM) speed sign, donated by Messagemaker Displays, to replace a faulty unit near the school entrance. The sign’s smiley-face feedback encourages drivers to stick to the 10mph limit, helping reduce speeds and making the site safer.

Swindon Borough Council had a requirement for full-colour VMS (Variable Message Signs) to be installed on a high-traffic road in Swindon to aid them in their project to influence motorists to opt for greener modes of transport. They required a suitable size to fit on the roadside, the functionality for real-time messaging updates, weekly scheduling and an easy-to-use software.

Messagemaker Displays Ltd. has supplied a bespoke retrofit LED Tunnel Lane Control Signal (TLCS) sign solution to meet the Transport for London (TfL) specification. The TLCS signs, installed in the Fore Street Tunnel in north London, were designed to be easy and swift to install, allowing the replacement work to be completed in just one night.

The site of works for the new Mendip Cabling Project required an automatically activated signage system that could be used to alert motorists of the temporary traffic lights up ahead on the road. Messagemaker Displays worked with Balfour Beatty on a new Bespoke signage solution.

Motorists were entering from the M6 toll road and the A5 dual carriageway at high speeds in Hammerwich. The installation of a Messagemaker SAM sign helped reduce high speeds and potentially save lives.
