25+ Years of Innovation

Over the past twenty-five years, Messagemaker Displays have developed an extensive range of LED Signs, with our team assembling and accruing a wealth of technical knowledge and innovation that is focused in Specialist LED Traffic Signage.

In 2011, Messagemaker Displays was acquired by Stocksigns Ltd, one of the UK’s leading suppliers in health and safety signage. This acquisition brought with it additional resources, state-of-the-art facilities, and a dedicated team of talented professionals with years of expertise in the signage industry, offering our clients an added layer of assurance.

Our History – The Timeline so Far

1955: Stocksigns Ltd, then known as Action Industrial Products, is started by the Bidwell brothers. The company quickly rose to be one of the UK’s leading signage manufacturers. ​

 

1989: Stocksigns Ltd is bought by British & Foreign Wharf Co. Ltd, a family run business, and annual sales reach a record high.​

 

2011: Stocksigns Ltd takes on Messagemaker Displays in order to branch into the world of LED signage, focusing on retail and industrial displays.​

 

2016: Messagemaker Displays unveils a brand refresh. Now focusing on Specialist LED Traffic Signage with a new website, refined product range and a targeted highways focus. ​

 

2021: The portfolio of highways, industrial and integration partners takes a leap in growth, and we build a new Demo Room to reflect this. ​

 

2023: Messagemaker Displays launches a High Speed Range with the MS1, LCS, AMI and MS4. ​

 

2024: Innovation takes a step forward with successful trials of the MS1 and advancements in Messagemaker Displays’ warehouse operations. Messagemaker also turned 25 years old!

 

The Future:  Our next steps for the future include reaching Net Zero in all business operations and continuing to provide effective signage solutions for the highways industry.
