What we did in 2025?

What we did in 2025?

As the festive season approaches and 2025 draws to a close, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on an incredible year. From Roadside Controllers to climbing Monte Perdido (The Lost Mountain) and raising over £26,000 for The Children’s Trust.

Your Speed VAS…

This year we introduced the Your Speed Vehicle Activated Speed (VAS) sign; our sign gives real-time feedback the moment you pass by. As drivers approach, the sign lights up with a bold “Your Speed” message and shows their exact speed on a super-clear LED display. as drivers approach, the sign lights up with a bold “Your Speed” message and shows their exact speed on a super-clear LED display.

Our Your Speed sign is designed for effective traffic management while also being low powered and durable. SMD LED technology allows the sign to display a clear, crisp image while creating less light pollution and using lower power consumption.

Highways UK…

In October we made our way to Birmingham for Highways UK 2025 at the NEC. This year, we shared a dual-branded stand with Nicander, putting the spotlight on our new Roadside Controller. This little powerhouse is a game-changer for our high-speed signage solutions, allowing traffic management systems to communicate seamlessly with our VMS signage. Combined with the MS1, it reinforces our position as innovators in real-time, high-speed traffic solutions.

Our stand was buzzing with visitors, all eager to see how our technology can make roads safer and traffic management smarter. The collaboration with Nicander really showcased how joint innovation can deliver cutting-edge solutions for today’s highways challenges.

This year we had  a couple of our office-grown plants as decorations for the stand and they went down at treat at stand F15.

ITS Awards…

We attended the Intelligent Transport Systems UK President’s Awards Dinner at Church House, Westminster an incredible venue and one of our favourites for celebrating industry excellence.

It was fantastic to catch up with so many colleagues and peers, and to see worthy projects and individuals recognised for their outstanding contributions to the transport and traffic management sector.

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners for their remarkable achievements, cutting-edge technology, and impactful projects across the industry. We’re proud to be part of such an innovative and forward-thinking community and look forward to continuing to make roads smarter, safer, and more connected.

Case Studies…

Thames Water:

In June 2025, Thames Water turned to Messagemaker Displays to make life easier at their public water distribution sites in Maidenhead and Slough. With crowds of vehicles needing clear direction, our VMS Mini Units proved to be the perfect traffic management sidekick. Compact, portable, and easy to set up, these units guided drivers with messages like “Directions to Water Site” and “Turn off Engine”, helping staff keep traffic moving safely and efficiently. Each unit could scroll through up to ten messages super handy when conditions changed on the fly!

The best part? Our support team made sure Thames Water’s rollout was smooth from start to finish. As Ethan O’Connor from Thames Water said, “Messagemaker Displays made the whole process seamless… their team were always there to help.”

The Children’s Trust:

Safety is always top of mind at The Children’s Trust, and our Smiley Activated Message (SAM) speed sign is helping make the site even safer. Donated by Messagemaker Displays, the new sign replaces a faulty unit and now gives drivers a friendly reminder to stick to the 10mph limit with a big, cheerful smile!

Since installation, speeds have dropped, creating a calmer, safer environment where children and young people can explore the grounds with confidence.

Our partnership with The Children’s Trust goes beyond signage our team has taken on charity walks and mountain treks to raise funds, supporting vital rehab, education, and community services for children with brain injury. As Tracy Poulton, Partnership Manager, says: “Messagemaker’s support goes beyond financial contributions they’re genuinely committed to making a difference.”

A mountain and A marathon…

In July, we took fundraising to new heights literally! Our team tackled a marathon and a mountain climb, all in support of Children’s Trust. This years we set our sights on an incredible challenge climbing the legendary “The Lost Mountain,” better known as Mount Perdido. Standing at an impressive 11,000 ft in the Pyrenees, this was no small adventure!

The journey began at the crack of dawn in Gatwick, followed by flights to Barcelona and a scenic drive through the Pyrenees to Torla-Ordesa. After settling into the hostel and gearing up, the team tackled the stunning Ordesa Valley, navigating waterfalls, dense forests, and the notoriously challenging vereda de las flores cliff section.

On summit day, conditions were tough, but ten determined climbers pushed to the top of the Pyrenees, rewarded with breathtaking views and the satisfaction of standing on the “roof” of the range. The climb ended with a well-earned celebration back at the base, marking an unforgettable adventure for an incredible cause.

We know the value of giving back…

Giving back is equally important. In 2025, our ESG efforts went even further. Our team got hands-on with gardening at The Children’s Trust helping them dewed their 24 acres of woodland and gardens, helped create and attend signage for the Lucy Rayner Gala Dinner, hosted lunch-and-learn sessions with Lucy Rayner Foundation, and even took part in Macmillan’s bake-off. These activities allow our staff to make a real difference in our community while fostering teamwork, creativity, and fun.

Wow, what a ride 2025 has been! This year has been full of innovation, growth, and a few rollercoaster moments but we wouldn’t have it any other way. And honestly… we can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store!

Thank you for being part of our journey we’re so excited to share the next chapter with you.

From all of us at Messagemaker, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Let’s make next year even brighter!
